Workshops in schools

Has anyone here done any workshops for sixth forms? I have an area of expertise that I research (freelance) but I'm looking to diversify my income.

I've got a chance to do a short lunch time talk at a local sixth form (pro bono) and will collect feedback for future use. I imagine I either can or can't manage to communicate my ideas to that age group, but any general tips welcome of course.

I can imagine developing a small business in doing workshops for sixth formers, but a) I don't know anything about pricing and b) I don't know whether I need any special paperwork like CRBs or anything for that age. I would really appreciate any assistance on these areas.

tag onto these people

its a VERY competitive market
you do not NEED a CRB, but they help
you do need public liability insurance of £5million to work in a school

Many thanks for this! Extremely helpful.

I absolutely do not expect to be able make much money because my expertise is fairly niche, but I'm hoping some sixth form courses might be interested.
