hello

i tried to contact you through mumsnet but they said you dontaccept emails...

so i really want to get on the case and train to be a doula, i live in sw london, have 6 years carework experience.

i would liek to get on a course asap, can youjust train tp be a post natal doula?

how long is the training?

does the council fund families on low income to hire a doula?

i hope you dont mind me asking you all these questions, i had a look on the websites you mentioned in other threads but i could not see the ansers to the above.

Try millenia doula for a course. This will help you decide if this is really what you want to do and how a doula works. I know several people who did the course and found it very useful. It's 1 WE only.... a good start.

Very few social services pay for doulas but it does happen from time to time. I know Sure Start is training women in the community to "doula" each other.
