My employer is changing all our contracts. I currently work 3 days 8am - 1pm and occasional saturdays 9am - 12.30pm. The new contract wants every other saturday either 9-12.30, 10-1.30 or 9-5 and time off during the week in lieu. My hours were originally negotiated around child care and when children at school but the more frequent saturdays will be a real problem with childcare. Also part time workers are being required to do same number of saturdays as a full timer where previously it was prorata (as all benefits are). Is there anything I can do?
