Good Nanny Agency serving Clapham/Balham

Can anyone recommend a good agency to use to find me a nanny in Clapham South?

This is the first time I have hired a nanny so I think an agency is my best bet, but I have heard mixed reports on the quality of different agencies. Interested to know any other advice people have!

You could try looking at Bestbear . Haven't used them myself but they get good write ups in the press. They are not an agency, but have listings of recommended agencies for nannies, au pairs etc.

speak to gail at childhood nannies - brilliant. also Kim at elite nannies. both are based in wandsworth/clapham areas, are completely rigorous about picking up all references and are very good at matching nannies to families - I've hired nannies through both of them. Nannies like them as agencies too, which tells you something as well. phone numbers for both are on best bear or in the book. hth
