Hi, I'm in process of applying for PII - I'm setting up as a legal advisor. Any experiences of applying for PII - did you submit business plan or just CV? If business plan - how detailed? Also, if there are any self-employed legal advisors out there - can I ask what amount of PII cover do you have? Thanks in advance.

I get my PII through my professional body - then I get recommended rates, levels and bulk policies.

If you are not obliged to have it (eg you are not going to be running our own solicitor firm) you might just want not to have it and operate through a company although that might put your customers off or it may not.
