He has never seen anyone with such skills and ambition - but with no direction.

Apparently he deals with people who have a burning desire "to be XXXXX"

And I don't know what I want to do

I don't want to be employed
I don't want a 9-5 (maybe 9-3 would be OK)
I want to earn lots of money
I want to do not tell people how to

But so far no suggestions

He thinks maybe a troubleshooter - but it's very difficult to get jobs like that

I was just about to start a thread about how undecided I am about what to do with my life. Where do I go from here.

Full time job in a field I quite enjoy, job sounds good def not 9-5 but probably not a hope in hell as it is perhaps a bit advanced for me.

Or get arse into gear with the stall/ trailer.

Or grow a set of b*lls and get a loan and open a shop.

Or sit on my big bum doing MN all day, pretending I am working on my Ebay sales???

Oh and I have to work out how to get the kids picked up from school at 3pm and fit all this round DH, as I my job will always be second fiddle unless I can earn more than him, argh!

Sorry that was of absolutely no use to you Grin. I could try selling my business ideas I suppose.

What sort of shop or stall?

What do you sell?

I'm thinking about being a small business advisor

I sell pocket money toys and sweets. I am going to get back to the local Sunday market once I am back from my holiday. I am doing up a trailer so I can trade outside without hanging on to a gazebo or spending 2hrs putting up a proper stall. I nearly went for a shop in the town as it had a very good priced lease but reality set in and a decided i did not want to kit it out and stock it using my credit cards.

I have phoned up for an application form for a job that really appeals to me, in a field i am quite experienced in but working full time is a bit scary as I struggle to stay orgainised with part-time work. Dh's work schedule takes priority so I am stuck worrying about the 3pm pick up.

Sort that one out Grin.

Have you got a business plan/cashflow forecast?

Do you want to work F/T?

Can you find a good childminder?

Off to bed - catch you tomorrow?

Did have a business plan.

Don't want to work F/T but need F/T wages.

Don't want to use childminder. Only a few in area that can pick up from school and all very new, last year there were none in the village. I would consider it if earning enough as they are old enough to tell me if she CM is a witch Grin.

Go to bed and save your wisdom for tomorrow Smile.

Katymac - I thought you had a new job? After school club advisor?

Katymac · 05/04/2006 18:36

Yep - but the lady who reccommended me has been told off as they can't be seen to favour an individual business - so no more reccommendations Sad combined with they will all have an OOSC within a year or so due to legislation - so no scope for expansion

Back to the drawing board
