When does it get easier?

Went from PT to FT last month in a job that requires me to work long hours after work and weekends. It was a financial decision rather than my choice.

DC1 has just started reception and DC2 is 2. DP is out of work so does the childcare but I'm struggling with the stuff i'm missing like school runs, parents assemblies, school run chat, time with the littlest one.

Missed something else this week and stressing about getting to nativity now. When does it get easier? Does it get easier?

It will all get easier as you get used to your new routine.
And you need to rationalise things too - your children will have a parent at the Nativity - it will be their dad

Thanks for the reply. I'm not too worried about the dc, they've adapted to the change quite well though the eldest asks if I can take her to school most mornings. It's me who has found it the hardest and feel gutted I can't be at the nativity.

It will probably get a lot easier as time goes on. I found that as mine gets more and more independent it makes it easier.
