There is a great program out there for people investing in new businesses - You can only invest it in companies for which you own less than 30% so it doesn't work for self-financing but it does make it much easier on your investors if they want to provide up to £100k in capital. It gives you 50% tax relief on what you invest although you may have to wait until that money is spent to get the tax relief. It's a ramped-up EIS if you are familiar with that scheme. I thought this might be helpful for the entrepreneurs among us!
