Hello, I have a small teaching business with really basic accounts which I do myself. I was wondering how other people keep their accounts. for example do you use online service, excel or good old fashioned paper accounts?? Can anyone recommend any free apps or services? I heard Natwest do one but I can't find it on a google search.
Thank you in anticipation

I use one called 'FreeAgent' provided by our Barclays Business Account. I haven't done accounts for almost 20 years and I find it so easier to use.

I highly recommend Xero - very easy to use, even for someone who is not a trained book keeper (like me).

If they really are basic, then a simple Excel spreadsheet will do the job. If you want to go one step further, many of our clients use Quickbooks which is very user friendly
