Cold calling companies for work

Hi all

After a little advice. I have 2 children, 4 and 1, and so want part time work but this is proving a nightmare! I need to earn a certain amount as I still have childcare costs for my youngest but finding a part time job is so hard and making me feel very down. There are no part time jobs so i am wondering whether to start sending my CV and covering letter to local companies to try and get some work. Is this a good idea or will my CV just go in the bin?

Thanks everyone

xx

It can't do any harm and if you stress you are very local it may make you a more attractive potential employee. Make sure the cover letter is tailored and personal to each company.

Good luck.
