I am in the process of setting up a small business but am struggling with ideas for names; essentially I will be selling second hand mid level high street children's wear and toys....any ideas? Thanks!

Have you tried mindmapping it?

Play with word association linked to what you do.
Is it mainly online (Ebay) or is there a shopfront?
What sort of image do you want to convey?
Is it eco, bit scuffed but cheap, or is it as-new, access to stylish stuff at a lower price?
The name can help set the tone for the kind of customers you hope to attract. Kidzklobber has a very different appeal to, say Mome (french for kid.)

I like hand-me-ups, you could do lovely creative with that sort of name.

or an abstract name along the lines of 'Johnny loves Rosie' or 'blue giraffe'.

Again it depends if people need to be able to find you online and what your search strategy and web coding is like.... if it's mainly online you'll probably need something which describes what you do in more detail...

good luck!

People like to buy from local companies. you could start with a local name and make it more UK wide later, or simply set up a sister company later for the UK wide market.
