When should I tell

Hi
I have been working on a project at work that has gone well. There's talk about looking at my role and expanding it, including some financial recognition for the work I'm undertaking.
However at this stage it's just talk and I have just found out that I'm pregnant. Not soon enough to tell anyone but I'm worried that by 12 weeks the project won't be finished and I'll have nothing concrete on the verbal suggestion of recognising my contribution.
Will telling them I'm pregnant mean that the potential recognition will no longer be offered. I know that 'legally' they can't change things but as it's all verbal and let's face it will cost them more when I'm off what do you really think the reaction may be in your experience.
Just so confused, been back a year from previous maternity leave and have really tried to make a good impression but feel quite scared and nervous about mat this time.

Hi, i'm cynical as I was put on notice of redundancy at 16 weeks, I would wait until you were going to be visibly pregnant before advising. I realise though that for some people second pregnancies show really early on!

Thanks for response Emsmaman, that must have been terrible for you. Hope that all is okay for you now. I can imagine that was very stressful.
