Working after reporting employer to HMRC

Some of you may remember my successful fight in 2011 to make my H.E. employer pay me maternity pay.
I went back to work last year and things were fine.
I'm just back from the summer break and there's a blip which in itself is small but makes me a bit uneasy.

Before describing it, can I just ask whether changes can be made to a verbal contract without it being discussed with the employee?

My work involves collaborating with other staff (2 staff to a varying number of students, depending on the activity).

If I have worked with a particular member of staff since 2006, can they just move me to another member of staff without the agreement of me or my long-standing colleague?

I find it difficult to imagine a situation where your specific colleagues constitute part of your terms and conditions tbh

Thanks Flowery. That's good then. I was concerned it could break a specific pattern I had established.
