Hi, i work 35 per week and term time only in a private school. It is a support staff role. I was handed a letter stating that my role may be made redundant due to workload. I went to the consultation with my line manager, and we both stressed that the department we work in (its just the two of us) would struggle with only one person doing the work. We both asked if i could do the job still but part time. I have a second meeting and im not sleeping or eating through worry. Why is this process so cold and formal? What makes it worse is there is a job available with a closing date BEFORE i find out about my job.
