Anyone in the NHS taken Annual leave prior to maternity leave (who get unsocial hour pay)

Payroll can't answer my question, which I think is utterly ridiculous, and I may have the most useless payroll on record.... so here goes!

I'm going forced to start maternity leave on 28th October at 39+1 (which according to them is the latest I can start it Hmm ) I have 4 weeks and 3 days annual leave to take in the lead up to maternity leave.

So, if you took a/l before mat leave, did you get your agenda for change unsocial hours payment for the annual leave ON TOP of your maternity pay?

Payroll weren't sure, and would have to get back to me! Had I done unsocial hours in October, they would have paid them in November, which will be the start of my maternity pay, so would have been paid on top of my months full maternity pay. But because it is annual leave, they aren't sure.

I'm so confused. It is a £500 difference...

If you've worked them you'll get them added to your a/l basic pay. That's what our trust does anyway.

Payroll finally got back to me! It's a positive (for once!) I will get my full month maternity pay plus the agenda for change payment on top....! A welcome bonus!
