As in how do I get public liability insurance?

How much do I need?

What sort of stuff do I need to back up what I do (eg CV/case studies etc)

Help....

TBH you might be better off bumping this during the day when a lot of people who work and know about this area are at work as I know a lot of members log on at work. Good luck.

Good idea - I hadn't thought of that

Thanks for that info Whizzz - I've been on Business Link loads over the last few days - but the on-line quote thing was good - I'll contact both them and my current insurers tomorrow

One thing I'd say to someone starting a new firm is to have good backups of your information, customer contacts, finances, work in progress.

A sad % of little firms get killed because they lose this stuff, spilt coffee, clicking the wrong thing or a child playing with the PC can do bad things.

Has to be in another building, just in case.

Another tip, is always invoice as early as possible.

Katymac · 14/03/2006 22:09

Thanks for the advise (I really try to back up regularily and I always keep back drafts...honest)

Seriously tho' I think I must be stricter

I like invoicing (I already do it each monthSmile)
