friend of mine works in a call centre, mainly dealing with direct sales

they are constantly being told 'if you haven't hit your target then stay until you have' and 'if they don't like it then there are plenty of others out there that would be glad of a job'

I can't imagine having to work in this environment

they are all to scared to say anything as they believe he is right but isn't this bullying?

not unusual in a sales job. doesn´t make it any easier - but sounds familiar.
