Childcare vouchers and parental leave - any experts out there?

I have just noticed that my employer stopped paying my childcare vouchers (formal salary sacrifice scheme) 7 weeks before the end of my AML. which is odd but they have been a bit clueless on maternity leave entitlements so I am not totally surprised.

I tagged 4 weeks parental leave onto the end of my maternity leave so wasn't expecting to receive childcare vouchers during my parental leave but the payment shouldn't have stopped before my parental leave started should it? Am I missing something?

Also what should happen where I am on AML for half the month and unpaid parental leave for the second half of the month? Should the value of my childcare voucher be pro-rata'd down by 50% for that month?

I would like to be a bit more clued up on what should happen before I go back to my employer so if anyone can shed any light on this I would be really grateful.

Can anyone help?

Do non cash benefits continue during parental leave?

Are non-cash benefits (CCV) definitely payable throughout the entire period of AML even when SMP has stopped?

Thanks.

I work for a law firm. We don't touch any benefits during maternity leave - in fact, the firm actually meets the cost of childcare vouchers during AML. A catch would be that if a person came to work from KIT days then, having been paid for that / those days, the cost of the vouchers can then be deducted from the salary earned for KIT.

Have a look elsewhere on these pages as someone raised a similar query recently.

About parental leave see www.direct.gov.uk/en/Parents/Moneyandworkentitlements/WorkAndFamili<a class="break-all" href="//es/Parentalleaveandflexibleworking/DG_187248" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">here. You are not entitled to contractual benefits, only statutory ones.

You are entitled to contractual benefits including childcare vouchers throughout your entire maternity leave though.
