As its says above. Position is in supported accom working with ppl aged 16-65 men and women, some with substance misuse issues, mental health issues. Anyone work in a similar field who knows what sort of questions they are going to ask, I really need a job as DH is out of work, I have been out of work for just over a year...and, will this be good experience for applying for a social work degree in the future?? Am starting to get nervy now...

have you got the job spec - think of relevant examples from your experience for all the essentials they ask for - and practice them - good luck

Haven't interviewed for a post but I go work in the supported housing field. Yes, it would be good experience for social work. There are many trained social workers on supported housing in my area.

The job/person spec should give you a good idea of the types of questions that you might be asked but i would imagine that there will be questions related to your experience in working with the client group or in a similar envirioment. Also, possibly around dealing with difficult situations, maintaining professional boundarie and safeguarding and protection from abuse.

Good luck with the interview.
