I am currently completing an application form and the person spec details
Commitment with equal opps as an essential criteria?

Many moons ago I covered equal opps as part of a NVQ 3 in Business and Administration and recently had to complete an online module which related
to diversity, is this relevant? what else can I include??

Yes, those are both relevant. If you are in the UK and haven't done recent training, you could read up on the 2010 Equality Act (see Home Office information and state that you have done so. Do you have any experience of dealing with customers with disabilities or other protected characteristics (see the link)?

In my experience of hiring for admin roles, unless you are applying for a role where you deal directly with equality and diversity issues (e.g. HR, management), including this in a job description is more to protect the company if they need to discipline you for breaching the Equality Act (or similar) than something that will enable them to differentiate between candidates at the interview stage. However it does depend on the role and the organisation.

I agree with Scatterplot - my most recent application included commitment to equal opps in the jd but I didn't put loads
I think the training you have done would be sufficient
