Working around study (and being a mum)

Hi there.

I might be biting off more than I can chew here but hoping to start a PGCE course next month and trying to think of ways to earn some money around studying/training to teach Monday to Friday and spending some time with my toddler.

Any good ideas for earning money in evenings or weekends? I am going tout myself as a babysitter in the local area but any other ideas would be very welcome. Thank you!

I did the pgce before having kids and there was NO WAY I could have fitted in a part time job as well. I know as a parent now, I'm way better at time management, but I think there's so much to do with the course and teaching placements, that you wont have much time with your toddler as it is.

I know there are people who do it out of necessity but I really wouldn't recommend it. Sorry!

Ps what do you mean by hoping? Have you got a place?

Sorry for multiple messages but depending on your education/experience to date, just thought perhaps you could offer 1:1 tuition?
