Urgent - how can I find out if TUPE applies to company takeover?

Is there any way I can find out how the sale of my company (my employer not actually my business) was structure ie business or share transfer? I am facing redundancy need to know whether TUPE regulations applied or not.

If you are still employed by the same company it was a share transfer and TUPE does not apply. If you are now employed by a different company it was a business transfer and TUPE does apply.
