Need some 'where to put up posters'/marketing help

I'm starting some mums groups, where they can talk about their experiences in a facilitated group ie. not like in a toddler group.

Can I just walk into the Antenatal clinic and stick a poster on their board? or do I need to ask their permission? Are they likely to say no? I don't want to bother them when they're so busy.

What about drop-in centres? Where? How?

I'm in a bit of a flap about this for some reason and would love some advice! I just don't know where to start, really. I guess I'm subconsciously worried about rejection - this is a project that has been brewing for many months.

I would find out what is going on in your area already - some area run things like that - eg NCT early days courses - and HV led groups -my area didn't though - I would also look at what local children's centres are doing.
I would ask wherever you advertise though - and facebook might be an option

Always ask permission before pinning a poster on someone's noticeboard, otherwise they will think you are rude and pushy and bin it on purpose.
Some places will charge a fee, some won't.

Other good places to try are babywear shops if there are any independent ones near you or local corner shops/newsagents (there's a small fee for this but when I say small I mean, 30p a week.)

Though I'm not sure how your scheme will work - if this is something for mothers to share their experiences without their toddlers, are you offering a creche?
