Hello,

I am a consultant and have my own limit company, I am debating if I should start paying for the health insurance. I got a quote of £125 per months. I am thinking to be pregnant with second soon and can see insurance needed for any complications that can happen during birth and after. It is nice to also have a piece of mind for my child and partner. But I can not decide if it is worth the expense. It will be tax free company/employee expense because I am an employee of my limited company. Can anyone share their experience please. Thank you.

P.S. we are in UK

Yes heath care/insurance is not tax free in the UK I am afraid, and once you add on the Class 1A National Insurance it is actually more expensive to pay it through the company than out of the dividend income in your own pocket.
