We'veknown for a while that redundancies were going to be on the cards and have just found out that nearly the while department is being made redundant, including the managers jobs, but that there are two new rules being created which are for the two managers whose posts have been made redundant.
Is this right? In my mind if there are new posts created and a while team have their jobs at risk then surely everyone has the right to apply for them. Is it really right that they can create new jobs for specific people and not let anyone else apply?
I work for a large well known organisation so I presume they would have made sure what they are doing is above board so they don't get into trouble but it doesn't seem fair to me.
Anyone with any experience of employment issues like this??
