Considering quitting work

I like my job - could be better, I used to love it but moved offices and not so comfortable as I was.
Anyway, that's not the reasoning behind what I'm thinking.

The main reason is my 6 year old is being assessed for autistic spectrum and we had a pretty bad ed psych report back which shows he is really not doing well at all.
He is obviously my priority and if I can be there more to support him and then not be so knackered after work to sit down and do educational stuff to help him then I feel that's what I should be doing.

Financially we will be slightly worse of but not unmanageable - will be a case if tightening our belts.

Thing is, I am starting. Teaching assistant training course soon and could use my time off to be helping in his school to get more experience and also using it as a stepping stone into getting a job in the school NEXT September which will mean working their school hours and being around in the holidays.

It will be a tough year but I think it might be worth it.

What do you think?
P.s the contract for my current job ends in December anyway and there is never any guarantee that it will be renewed due to the nature of the job.

If it's what you want to do, do it . Only you know what's right for you and your family.
