If you also take NI into account you probably need more like £12500 - £13000 to have a take home of £10000+.

Thats only a rough guessimate though

ermm

Ok, first @ £4895k is tax free
next £1k is 10%
thereafter 22%
NI @8%

so ,does mental arithmetic>

about £12k i think

Katymac · 02/03/2006 22:33

11850 (ish)

DontlookatmeImshy · 02/03/2006 22:33

I thought NI was 11%??

Katymac · 02/03/2006 22:37

or maybe 12200?

Mazzystar · 02/03/2006 22:38

the rate of NI depends how much you earn. its v complicated and can't remember details but would have thought more like 9% on a £12k salary.

Using the IR CD-ROM 12000 takes home 9970 this year (can't do next years)

LOL, I thought you were looking for £100k! ShockGrin I should be able to help you with this as payroll is supposed to be my speciality but have had a couple of glasses of vino and then a couple of Baileys this evening so can't even think straight. If I can get my brain in gear tomorrow I will have a look.
