......Do they exist? as i am trying to find a job over the internet and all the jobs are from recruitment agencys which are all very good, cept they expect you to go into town( Live semi rural) to sign up for there agency without the promise of a job interview!, and with two young kids and arranging childcare cover etc it is all getting a bit too much... sorry ranting too much, any ideas anyone????

maybe try www.gumtree.com

I know what you mean with agencies though... I used to get lots of 'please come in we defo want you on our books' but they were never very accommodating when it came to the times I could maybe make due to kids... once I just took the lo's with me Grin though that was a local agency.

try \link{http://www.jobcentreplus.gov.uk/JCP/\job centre online} also \link{http://www.jobs.nhs.uk/\NHS jobs} you can fill in applications online and email them straight away. I signed up with them and get emails daily with all sorts of jobs in our locality. HTH Smile

Hi there, the newspaper sites are good - have you tried The Guardian's website ? Also, public sector sites like lgjobs.co.uk and jobsgopublic.co.uk (or com !)are worth a check out.

Even though a lot of the generic jobsites like monster and totaljobs are often recruiter-focussed, employers do directly access the databases as well.

GOOD LUCK !!

Julia
