Hi, I have a back to work meeting this afternoon....does anyone have any tips or points I may not have thought about please?
I manage a team of 12 (a job I was promoted to at 6 months pregnant), and my AML ends on 13.12.12, however due to financial issues am looking to go back slightly earlier (approx mid Oct).
I know that things in our office have not been easy in my absence and they are keen to get me back ASAP. However, I would like to propose to do a 3 day week until the end if the year and then a 4 day week thereafter, with a review meeting at the end of march (more for their benefit than mine tbh). Problem being I do not know any other managers in my company that work less than 5 days a week?!
I think they will go for the 3 days for this year, as due to problems they now have another manager covering my area also, and obviously me going back 3 days earlier than December should be better than not going back early at all?? But am not sure about the 4. Days for next year.
In truth I don't want to go back at all! The job was stressful during my pregnancy and am dreading leaving my ds tbh. Before he was born, my career was my main thing in my life and I honestly didn't expect to love being a mother as much as I do (dur!).
Does anyone have any advice or tips they can offer before my meeting....I'm bricking it!
Thanks
