Interview for secondary Teaching Assistant Help...! (please)

I have my first interview in 10 years next Wed. There are 6 of us on the shortlist and I have been advised there will be a 'library task' and a 30 min formal interview. Any advice on what questions I should prepare for...? What a 'library task' might be...? Scared already!
Many thanks!

I love the volunteering I have done so far but with one part time job locally receiving over 400 applications, it's not an easy option to get into!!

Hi
I recently had an interview for a secondary TA post (and got it!). I had to do an in-tray exercise which was around 6 questions in a booklet asking things like: if a teacher didn't use differentiation in their lessons how would you support a very weak student, also how would you support a student with very low self-esteem, some bits about behaviour and safe-guarding also. The interview was with 4 people including the head and again asked questions about safe-guarding, about how to enagge 'difficult' students and so on

Might be too late for you now, but have a look on the TES teaching assistant forum, there is a long thread where people have posted their TA interview questions. Good luck!

Thanks to all those who answered!! The library task was, in the end, creating a lesson plan for a low ability child. Thanks also for the hint about TES. I spent an evening putting together a lot of the interview questions, had a very stern friend come and test me and then the interviews were far easier than anything she put me through. Preparation is key...
