CRB checks and payment.

I have applied for a job in a care home as a bank nurse i.e. filling in hours of staff who are ill etc. I filled in the CRB check and was (initially) informed that should I not fulfil the hours set for the first sex months, I would have to pay for the CRB check.
I was a bit taken aback by this and pointed out that I would have no set hours. The office staff person then wrote on the form that she had handed over for me to sign saying I agreed to pay the word: 'disregard'.

I didn't want to ask at the time, but what exactly does this mean?

Sounds like its a standard thing they tell everyone, and that it's not applicable to you as you have no minimum hours Smile

Thanks for replying. It disconcerted me a bit as I have no minimum hours like you say. You've put my mind at rest.
