Difficult Application Questions

I am trying to conplete an application form despite DS' best efforts to interrupt. I am struggling with some of the questions.

This form asks me to describe the most challenging experience of my life. I don't know what to put especially as a lot of the challenges I have faced are a source of great shame to me. What are they looking for as I don't want to snooker my chances as I struggle to get interviews?

They'll be looking for a scenario where you had to decide what to do out of various options, probably involving other people to help/delegate to them, how you resolved it and some evidence that you reviewed the situation after a period to confirm that this was the right option. Add a final sentence to say that learning X from that situation then made it easier to deal with something else later on.

This is the kind of thing you could easily be asked in an interview, so it's worth having some answers so you don't clam up.

Good luck.

Oh dear I'm beginning to realise why I can't get an interview. I'm pretty much rubbish at everything :(
