Criticism at work

Hi within my job how can I deal with criticism more constructively at work. I have supervision and get upset when I am pulled up on things/issues. I automatically take it personally and get a bit stroppy. I know I am good at my job and would appreciate tips for better coping in this scenario x

Do you think that the supervision is being done OK? Is your problem a general one, or just with 1 or 2 people?

Can you look at it as a positive thing? Giving constructive criticism isnt always easy, and if the person is offereing you this rather than glossig over things then can you take it as showing that they are keen to help you improve.
No-one is perfect, and sometimes its the criticism that hurts the most that does you the most good.

I think it is how it is done which counts. If it is done calmly and kindly and everyone is treated the same by the employer then it is ok

You need to turn it around. If they didn't give you the criticism then you wouldn't be able to fix whatever you're not doing right, and if you don't fix it, you'd get fired.

So every person who tells you that you are doing something wrong is in reality doing you a very big favour and preventing someone else from having an excuse to get rid of you.

HTH.
