Top level for child tax credit?

I am interviewing for new nannies - but saw one today who was concerned that our salary might take her above her child tac credit. Does anyone know what the level is? I seem to recall it is 16 hours a week or something, but not sure if it is also based on income?

its really quite complicated - depends on her circumstance - how many children, her partners if any income amoung others -this would give you an idea

thanks AnOtherName - i can see now that it is quite complicated, and by the looks of it she would sure to be over the level if her husband works, which I am thinking he would do.

Tax credits are not lost in a 'cliff-edge' way, they are withdrawn gradually by 41p per pound once income is over about 6000 a year. So you should never lose more tax credits than you're earning in extra income iyswim.
