Just seen a job advertised and wanted some mathematician to help me to work out how much this would be.

£15,521 - £16,594 21 hours (3 days a week) Term Time Only.

Hope someone can help.

21 hrs/week (assume 3 full days, so 3/5 time), term time (assume 39 wks pa).

Has the salary already been pro-rated, or are these based on full-time hours? eg if you worked the position full time, would the salary be between £15,521-£16594, or is this just for the hours above (21 hrs/wk, term time)?

Assuming this is the full time equivalent salary (and full time would be 35 hrs/wk) then:

£15521 / (52 x 35) = £8.528 ph
£16594 / (52 x 35) = £9.117 ph

Obviously this is based on the above assumptions, and just gives a basic hourly rate.

Really depends.

Is the scale already pro rata for the 21 hours or is it the full time hours equivalent?
Is the scale already pro rata for term time only or is it the year round equivalent?

I'd have to ring and find out but it doesn't seem enough for the responsibility. Thanks Ellypoo and flowery x

It could be that that salary has already been pro-rated, so is the actual amount you would get, so would make a huge difference to the hourly rate, so it may be worth finding out more. What is the job?
