Im not sure where to post.
Im a single mum to 3 girls. I left school with no qualifications. Did my hairdressing level 2 and then had my children and have always worked around them and my soon to be ex husband.
Im now in a position where I can go back to work or study as my youngest starts school in sept. If I work its going to be something that I have always done, but dont enjoy.
Im wondering am I too old to become a beauty therapist? Im not accademic so cant study aything too intense. This I feel I would enjoy as Im very artstic.
Im 34 soon to be 35. Iv spoke to the college and they have said of course your not too old we have all ages on the course. This is fab but Im thinking more of the employment at the end of it. I do need to earn as I have a mortgage to pay. At the moment I have help with it. This is my opportunity to do something but worried Im too old??

Not to old. You're only 34. Go for it- retrain to do something you'd enjoy. It's a long time working otherwise, you have at least 30 years of working life left. If you're not going to retrain now, then when would you do it? Never would be a shame
BTW My friend is a lecturer in beauty therapy and you dont need to be especially academic to do this type of course, it is based on practicals, learning contra indications and some theory but the lecturers support you. The best beauty therapists arent the academic ones but the ones who pay attention in class, are keen to learn, and have a nice kind warm way with people. If that helps.

Good luck happyhappymummy.
Do you know- my life started when I split with my exH. We're poorer but happier, DC and I. I never thought about myself before then, too busy keeping everyone else happy, in a very difficult situation. This is your time, your chance, so please take it.
