Dealing with interview rejection.

I went for an interview yesterday as an internal candidate. I got rejected in favour of an external candidate. I was told that it's due to inexperience but it's a catch 22 isn't it?
I do feel overlooked and a demoralised. If they saw something they liked in me they could have thrown me the lifeline I so desperately needed.
I am finding it so hard to break into the job I want. I have been struggling with it for years. Mabe i'm not cut out for it.
I can't sleep but I am going in tomorrow to get feedback. How do I bounce back?

I can beat this. Smile I once went for a job as an internal candidate... Indeed the only candidate.... And they turned me down. Blush

I was mortified.

Not much to do though. Suck it up. Chin up, grin and bear it, grit your teeth, etc etc. I reapplied the following year for the same job and beat three external candidates, so don't give up hope... I essentially walked in and told them why they needed me. They barely got a word in edge ways...

(my colleagues called me 'one horse' for the entire year... As in one horse race...)

Don't let it grind you down. Just not your time.
