I am due back to work full time in October, and I am dreading it do so much it's unreal. I have always been a career girl, and worked ft for something like 13 years. It's just the thought of leaving my dS for 9/10 hours a day in a nursery (no family live here) while I commute across London to a Job I no longer think is worth it.

How do you do it?? Please give me some positive words as the thought of returning is spoiling my mat leave and actually brings me to tears

I know I'm being silly but I want to bring my son up, not pay for someone else to :(

Do you absolutely have to go back full time?
I'm working 3 days a week meaning I'm in the office for most of the working week but still have precious time with my DD. I was absolutely dreading going back to work and cried on more than one occasion but I have to say in reality it's not so bad once you get into the swing of things and develop new routines.

I need to do the sums but yes probably. Just before I found out was pg we bought a flat, so have lots of financial commitments. Though child care plus travel is going to cost just over 1k per month.

I need to sit down with my oh and discuss really but I'm dreading it as before I went on ml I was so determined to be going back ft
