Holiday entitlement and part-time/flexible working

I have worked 8 hour days 3 days a week since having my children. For my holiday I used to take 3/5 of my holiday entitlement when working full time and then added on 3/5 of the bank holidays.

Now I am working the same hours a week (24) but spread over 5 days instead of the full 3 days I used to do. I just assumed that my holiday entitlement would remain the same as it is the exact same hours a week. But someone told me that holiday is not based on hours but days work and now that I am working 5 days again I am entitled to full holiday allowance.

Can anyone tell me if this is correct?

Look at your holiday entitlement in terms of hours rather than days then it makes more sense. You will get more 'data's off now as they are shorter and so you are using up less a/l.
Im not in hr. But our w/l is calculated in hours as there is such variation in shift length. Much easier.

Typo. 'days' not datas.
I think you'd get the same amount of a/l, in hours.

You are right OP - your friend is wrong. You'll get the same number of hours holiday - but they will be spread over more days
