I know I need to put something on each page, but what?

That will do, although Business Link has a more thorough example.

To get the symbol, either copy and paste one (like © this one) or use the code © (i.e. copy with an ampersand before it and a semi-colon after it), although neither of these methods is fail-safe depending on how you get content on your web site.
