Any full time teachers here?

hi! I was just wondering if/how full time teaching is manageable with two little ones. I have worked ft before with one little one and a baby bump and it was HARD.

The thing is, I've learnt this time that I am no good at staying at home, therefore if I have to go to work, I might as well give it my best. With this in mind I'm considering applying for a position with tlr.

Am I mad?! hell yes

Is there anyone out there who can offer any experiences/advice?

Are you primary or secondary? I'm secondary so have free periods. Best tip is to get as much done as possible in frees/PPA, don't beat yourself up about having to drop things before they're finished to leave, and make sure that you leave the building at a time to suit you. I always leave by 4 or 4.30 at the absolute latest so that I get some time with the DDs. Don't do any work on Saturdays, but accept that you probably will have to do some weekday evenings and very likely Sunday evening too. Beyond that, remind yourself that it's just a job Grin and don't give yourself a hard time about either spending less time on the job than you could OR about spending less time with the DCs than you could. Oh, and make time for yourself otherwise you'll go mad.

Good luck!

EvilTwins- I'm primary and my afternoon of ppa is spent with my partner teacher so I'll have to make sure we're really productive!!

I've been reading the time saving and organising threads avidly but every now and then I just feel pure panic!

[repeating mantra... It will be fine, it will be fine...]

Interview was a disaster and unsurprisingly did not get job. Sad Actually don't think it was the right role for me so will work p/t for now and look for a new job when I return.

I am sure that you will be fine Blackholes, I actually think if you enjoy your job you make f/t work 'work'. I was super organised when working f/t my slow cooker came into its own!
