New job

Hi, I've just found out I'm pregnant however I also start a new job shortly. The job is only fixed term until march next year however if I go full term I will be due jan/feb. I'm obviously not going to be entitled to smp however when should I really tell my new employer?

I had this problem too. I was temping then once Id finished found out I was pregnant. A few weeks later I had a phone call asking me back to my job on a permanent contract. I started when I was 8 weeks pregnant.

I usually tell employers ASAP as Id rather they knew what was going on with me should I need time off (whether its routine or unexpected). This time however, I waited until I had been for my 12 week scan and just said I didnt tell them before as I wanted to wait until I knew for sure. They were fine with it.
