I have an idea and plan but know I will need a partner in the long run. There is nothing like this anywhere at the moment so it is very confidential as the idea could be stolen.

What kind of skills and knowledge are you looking for in a partner, or is it just financing you need?

You could google Angel Investor.

I have an idea too - I'll PM you.

In a business I usually find it best if you have specific roles, i.e. one of you is good with finances, the other is good with people/creative etc. try to find someone who has complimentary (or is it complementary?!) skills to you.

My DH and I are a nightmare as a married couple as we are total opposites, but in business it works well as we both bring something different.

You also need to be able to spend long periods of time together without wanting to kill each other and you probably both need similar 'other commitments' - e.g. if one of you has DCs and the other doesn't you may come up against arguments over who is putting in more time/effort. You need to appreciate each others' situation.

If you have a brilliant idea but lack of cash then I'd look for investors.

That will pay for "staff".

Tbh, if I had a unique and brilliant idea I'd keep it all for me... Wink
