Temp contract - notice period?

I am on a temporary contract which i started 4 weeks ago. The contract is through an agency and I'm paid weekly via an umbrella company. The only contract details I have from the agency are my 'offer' which was an email containing my start date, duration (6 months) and day rate.

Is there anything to stop me from ending this contract before the 6 months are up - am I tied to the 6 months? If not, what would I need to give in terms of notice?

TIA!

You should have signed a lot of paperwork when you first signed up with the recruitment agency. I would contact them directly and ask for your contract with them. IIRC when it's a 'contract for services' then you don't have to give any notice at all.

I don't have anything signed with the agency at all - my relationship with the agency is that they advertised the vacancy online, I applied, they put me forward then gave me my offer via email with a start date!

I've looked into it a bit more and my contract is with the umbrella company (they are the ones who actually employ me), who need 1 week notice.
