Hi there,

I am 26+4 weeks pregnant with b/g twins. I am currently unemployed (long story) and my husband is on long term sick with a knee injury ( we like to make life interesting for ourselves!) We started talking about what will happen after they are born and we saw how stupidly high the price of childcare will be. We just won't be able to afford it and if I go back to work the majority of my wages will go towards paying for it. So, I am seriously considering working from home but don't know where to start or have any ideas of what I can do. I hold an English and Drama degree and have writing experience so I wonder whether to utilise these or try something else. Does anyone have any ideas?? xx

ALWAYS best to start with what you know - get onto linkedin, big yourself up and see what you can rustle up from former colleagues / contacts ....

Totally agree with TalkinPeace2 (who does 'free range work' ;). Get on Twitter too - you don't have to tweet yourself, just follow the right people/organisations for inspiration/opportunities.

What do you do now? What are your hobbies? What sort of writing have you done? Then you can start thinking how any of these could be used to make money.

Will your dh's knee injury prevent him from looking after your dts? Or will he be able to help out? If he cannot help at then it's going to be difficult to find something that you can do while you are looking after dts at the same time. Sorry if that sounds more negative than I meant it to.

thank you for the advice, and i will definitely chase up your suggestions. My husband is currently looking for another job, so I know that it's going to make my situation that bit harder with twins to look after! hopefully I will be able to sort something out.
