hi ev1 need some advice...i had been off work since before easter (was on sick and had GP sick note etc) till last week...and noticed in my payslip that i have only received statutory sick from my employer....there were no payments for the easter hols....
dh is convinced that whislt you are on the sick you cannot take holidays so it is either the holidays are owed back to you or you get paid for them....
i handed in my notice the week before last to allow for a 7 day notice period as what is stated in my contract of employment...this fell after the monday may day bank holiday....
there is nowhere in my coe that states regarding holiday pay only that they have to be taken by the end of the year or they will be lost....
i had never taken a holiday this year and feel that they owe me some money...after handing in my notice i received a letter stating i would be owed holidays and my p45 but heard nothing since....
but i feel that because i was paid statutory sick i will lose out on the public and bank holidays that i never actually had iykwim...
sorry if it seeems confusing but am i getting diddled...
