Just had an interview...

I'm retraining as a solicitor (was a research scientist). Nearly finished the college part. Need a training contract now.

Been for an interview this morning, for a week or 2 work experience with an utterly lovely quirky old-fashioned but busy and young firm. I want to work there! Puhlease give me the work experience! They might be looking for a trainee later this year, so obviously I'd like that too.

I think they liked my odd background. Just hope I didn't put them off me :-(. Confidence knocked recently!

3-4 weeks till I hear.
And I don't want to jinx it by talking in RL.

Utterly luffly! Not stuffy, one of the (younger than me) partners had his toddler there with him....

I hope it pans out, sounds a great opportunity.

Thank you. They did say they were surprised to be inundated with people after the work experience, so I may be unlucky because of that. Still, why not. I hope so!

I should think there'd be a lot of transferable skills from research that could set you apart from the pack. Fingers crossed!
