Making Britain Family Friendly - has the Queen's speech helped?

We are picking the bones out of the queen's speech here in the FF team at MNHQ. Top of our scrutiny list is the proposal to make it possible for fathers to share more of the maternity leave pie. What do you think? Is it a good plan to make sharing easier? The government says that where a mother earns more than a father it works better for that family to make it possible for Mum to go back to work earlier and Dad to take the leave. Or is it making a complicated system even more complicated? The majority of our Family Friendly programme members already offer enhancements to maternity leave but even within companies with fantastic packages some staff didn't understand what was available - especially Dads. What do you think? And is there anything else in the speech that caught your Family Friendly eye?
