I know they used to exist but a quick google didnt come up with much.

If you have done one lately, do they cost much, and are they useful?

TIA!

i think they have stopped them...certainly have in my area. There are courses for secondary maths/science I think but nothing else. Have been out of teaching for 3 years so far (was senior teacher, HOY, HOd in secondary at various times, 13 years so far) and intending to be out for about 5 in total - terrified though of being out of date and expensive and therefore umemployable on return...what is your story - would be interested in your view/concerns on this??/ Sorry I can not help and might sounds negative! - Also I think I will volunteer in schools initially kind of doing my own re-training course...would this work for you??

Hello! I too am looking to return to teaching, although I am Primary. I last taught in 2003 and feel very out of touch. Like you Cuggles I am looking to volunteer and retrain myself! Hoping to do 2 days a week from September.
