I can't speak for all schemes but on mine (Edenred) unused vouchers are accrued in your online account indefinitely for future use (even for a different child)

Can you change the amounts? Might not be worth it for half terms but for the summer months?

I agree with looking at the scheme your employer uses. Mine, RG childcare, allows me to change the amounts I claim monthly if I want and you can accrue the vouchers (I think they are valid for a year ish??), or you could pay them to the cc provider and have a credit balance with them? You have found a nursery that allows you to have the holidays off?? Do they still charge half price for these periods?

thanks ladies, i didnt realise there was different types of vouchers. not quite hols off but have a deal for teachers if child does 3 days normally then only have to pay for day and a half in hols

DH pays into his Sodexo scheme at work and we can use his vouchers for all sorts of things, not just nursery. Apparently they can be used for after school club and breakfast club etc until the child is 14.

Oh, and his accrue for ever. If he ever decides to take the money out of the scheme he will have to pay income tax on any amount he takes out, but at the moment it's ticking along nicely. He pays the maximum amount he can into it, and every so often I have a big piece of work in and we bump DD up to more days in nursery and it uses a bit more of the balance up.
